Windows 10: I can't switch accounts cause I had done something to default user folder.

It all begins one week ago, when I was trying to clear my local disk C, I accidentally deleted default user folder which cause other troubles ofc, but later I somehow I managed to fixed it, but now I can't switch accounts, whenever I make a new user account, my PC doesn't recognizes it and doesn't let me switch my account.. please don't recommend me something from internet, I've tried one week in research but nothing worked.Please tell me what changes should I make in my default user folder so that it can let me switch a accounts again, thanksPS I'm really sad near to tears, desperately need s

• Are you referring to the default folder location within the computer?
• Is it specifically in the user profile or as a whole?

In the meantime, we suggest that you refer to this page on
how to change the default location of a folder. This pertains to the
My Documents folder but it can work with other default user folder as well.

New Account/User Issues

Hi,

When you create a new user account, Windows uses the Default user profile as a template to construct the files for the newly created user account. You might be experiencing issues creating new accounts due to a corrupt Default profile. To
resolve the issue, we suggest reinstating the Default folder in the
Users directory by following these steps:

• Log in as an administrator.
• Open the C:\Users folder using Windows Explorer.
• Rename the Default user profile folder to Default.OLD.
• Download a zip of C:\Users\Default from a Windows 10 installation that doesn't have this problem.
  
• Unzip the non-corrupt Default profile into C:\Users.
• Try logging in to the new user account and check if the problem is resolved.

Local Acct user and MS account user - sync them or merge them

If the local account is the one where you have most of your personal data, this is how I would do it:

• Sign in to your Microsoft account
  
• Copy all documents, pictures and other personal data from Microsoft account's user folders to corresponding folders in user Public (contents of MS account Documents folder to Public Documents folder and so on)
• Sign out from Microsoft account

Notice that above steps are only required if Microsoft account user folders contain data you want to keep. If its user folders are empty or do not contain anything worth saving, you can skip the above steps. Continue from below.

• Sign in to the local account
  
• Delete the Microsoft account (Option One in this tutorial)
• Switch your local account to a Microsoft account (tutorial)
• Copy the data backed up from old Microsoft account to Public folders to new Microsoft account in corresponding folders

That's it. Using the Public folders as temporary storage you will have none whatsoever file owner / permission issues later on.
