Windows 10: I can’t update KB5033375 22H2 and it shows me 0x800f0991 error, besides I can’t change...

So how I said that I can’t update and it shows me error 0x800f0991 and I can’t change the device volume and it’s stuck like that loud. I tried some solutions but none had effects

I've tried all the steps that you suggested that I do, but still no positive results. I even initiated to create the CBS.log (attached). After restarting, it still continued to fail. Now it has an error of 0X800F0991. Windows update also is listing a download for a 23H2, which is NOT my system. I have a 22H2. So needless to say, this has become very frustrating to say the least.

I've been having MAJOR irritating issues trying to update my laptop, and this specific error keeps on coming up, "2023-12 cumulative update for windows 11 version 22h2 for x64-based systems (kb5033375) install error - 0x800f0991".

I've rebooted, gone to the Microsoft website itself and got what I thought was the latest security download. Closed out all other windows and still keep on coming up with the same error. It will go up to 25%, hang, then fail out.

I'm currently running on an Acer Aspire 3A315 with a 4GB DDR4 installed memory. I will be upgrading to 16GB here very soon. I was wondering if I didn't have enough memory.

But if anyone else has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

 

Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for (KB5033375) NOT INSTALLING

Hi there

I'm running Windows 11 Home, and I always download and install my updates from the update center without any issue, except for an old Intel update issue that I already fixed. But the update (KB5033375) whose full name is:

"2023-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5033375)"

is not installing at all! It's just downloading, and when it wants to install inside the Update Center in the setting, it says there is an error, which is "Install error: 0x800f0991". And when I want to shut down my device, a black screen appears with the message "working on updates," and it takes a lot of time. Then it shuts down by itself, is not installed at all, and the update is still remaining in the Update Center.
