Windows 10: I can't update my Windows 11 because of encrypted with Bitlocker

So basically i tried to update my windows but when i select my D drive because my C drive is out of space i cannot update because it says "The drive you're trying to use is encrypted with BitLocker. Choose a different drive and try again."And i don't think i have BitLocker turned on my D drive because in control panel on the BitLocket section the D drive is still waiting for activation, so what can i do now?

I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Change View by from Category
  to Large Icons/Small Icons.
  
• 
  Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
  Turn BitLocker Off.
  
• 
  Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
  when the message appears.

SSDs and Bitlocker Encryption

Seen that too and was just wanting to know if this works as expected. Also still trying to understand the difference between a Self-Encrypting Hard Drive and an Encrypted Hard Drive for Windows. All new to me. Just buying a system with the following drives and trying to work out how I will encrypt them. As I am buying a new PC to run Windows 11 (as I understand it updated including a TPM) I was hoping that hardware encrytption of these drives could be relied upon.

• Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD (3500/3300)
• Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD (3500/3300)
• Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SSD Solid State Drive
