Windows 10: I can't upgrade from Windows 10 1803 to 1903.

I have tried dozens of times to update my HP laptop from Windows 10 1803 to 1903.

I've tried various fixes described in different forums. Each time it fails with the same error, 0x800707e7.

Looking at the log it appears to be failing at the 1st migration stage.


My laptop has a 128GB solid state C-drive and a 1TB hard disk D-drive. After I bought it, to stop the C-drive filling up with data, I moved the User files my documents, etc from the C-drive to the D-drive, and made edits to the registry, in accordance with instructions I found on a forum. I can't remember exactly what I did.

Could this be the cause of it failing during the migration stage?

Windows 10 1803 doesn't play nice with some Intel SSDs

Legit Reviews is reporting that Windows 10 1803 has issues with some Intel SSDs, specifically their 600p series: "When attempting to upgrade to Window 10 April 2018 Update select devices with certain Intel SSDs may enter a UEFI screen reboot or crash repeatedly." Microsoft and/or Intel are working on a fix.

Win 10 1803 to 1903 update

My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1903 a while back, but my Desktop running Win 10 version 1803

I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1903 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

Any thoughts, suggestions?
