I can't upgrade Windows 11 22H2 to 24H2. I get the error "Failed to upgrade the system reserve partition" I originally had Windows 11 23H2, which also wouldn't upgrade. So I installed Windows 11 22H2, but that didn't help. Processor AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics 3.80 GHz RAM 32.0 GB usable: 31.2 GB System Type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 11 Pro Edition Version 22H2 OS Build 22621.4602

Upgrading WIndows 11 22H2 gives error

Hello all

I have been running windows 11 for a while now and I decided to upgrade to windows 11 22H2, even though it will disable my ribbon hack for file explorer.

Does anyone have any suggestions? A search found most of the suggestions for this error involve upgrading from windows 10 not to windows 11 22H2 but I have windows 11 as you see below





When I downloaded and tried to do the update, the upgrade failed and rolled back. I ran setupdiag and it reported this





Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and Welcomed

I am having issues using the upgrading function in Windows 11

Hi,

Deleting the unused font files in the boot partition (as suggested in the following Microsoft article) should resolve the issue.

Windows 10 to 11 upgrade failed

Attempting to upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 and it continues to fail despite my several attempts.

Event log indicates error 0xC1900101

When attempting to update via windows update, it gets as far as rebooting several times, then to about 90% and fails and rolls back the changes

When using the Win11 22H2 ISO, it just crashes at around 90%

Step I have taken so far:

• PC health cleared
  
• sfc
  
• dism
  
• Reset windows update components
  
• Update via windows 11 22H2 ISO
  
• Updated drivers
  
• Updated BIOS
  
• Disabled Windows defender AV
  
• Clean boot
  
• Removed all peripherals
  

Most recent SetupDiag result: Microsoft OneDrive

I'm really hoping to avoid a clean install at this point, so any advice on what to try next or any issues that can be gleaned from the SetupDiag would be helpful. I also have the zip of the setup files from the SetupDiag should that be necessary

(I am also just noticing that windows seems to think I'm still using Avast antivirus which hasn't been installed in quite some time. I ran avastclear just now and removed any traces)
