I can't use a custom keyboard layout on the second user account

I made a custom keyboard layout earlier today using the microsoft keyboard layout creator, however when I went to use it on my second user account on my laptop, it didn't show up as an option, but when I tried installing it again, it wouldn't let me because it said it was already installed. How do I get it working on the second user account?

    :)

  2. Unable to change keyboard layout for second user account in Windows 10

    Hi Vijay,

I seem to be experiencing the same issues as other WIndows 10 users with keyboard problems. The keyboard layout works fine with the primary account but with the secondary and tertiary user accounts the keyboard layouts cannot be changed (for example shift2
should be " but is @ and visa versa). Like other users I have reset language preferences and changed default settings but I am still unable to reset the language option for other accounts. With other people experiencing the same issue it would appear that
there is a problem somewhere in the OS.

PS The language settings installed are English UK and English US and same for QWERTY keyboard.

I also note that the SET AS DEFAULT radio button is not 'live', for English UK, in the 'Region and Language' settings

Unable to change keyboard layout for second user account in Windows 10

I'm puzzled by the behaviour of the keyboard layout in Windows 10. After creating a second user account besides my admin account, I am unable to change the keyboard layout to English (UK) for this account. This is mostly because in the language settings
in the control panel, English (UK) is already set as the primary language, and removing English (US) doesn't help either, as it just comes back right away.

Further, I can't switch between keyboard layouts with the Win+Space shortcut. How can I enable the UK layout (which is working perfectly fine in my admin account)?

  4. I can't use a custom keyboard layout on the second user account

Language list appears when there is only one keyboard layout used in a user account

There’re two user accounts on my computer running on Windows 10. In my account, the interface language is English (United Kingdom) and the keyboard layout is United States–International; in the other account, English (United Kingdom) is also the interface
language, but the keyboard layout is US.

Since a particular update which took place a few months ago, a language list appears on the far-right of the task bar in my account, and it allows me to switch between United States–International and US. However, if I go to that area for language settings
on the control panel, only United States–International is shown. In order to get rid of the language list, I need to manually add US as a second keyboard layout and remove it afterwards. Even so, the language list always re-appears whenever I restart my computer.
Is there a way to permanently get rid of that language list? Before that particular update I’ve mentioned, there was no language list when there was only one keyboard layout used in a user account.
