Windows 10: I can't use any of my function keys, the audio stopped working, and my taskbar doesnt let...

I noticed i couldn't play any audio through my headphones or through the speaker so i went to the devices and it was empty. i couldn't adjust the audio in the audio settings either. i updated my computer and drivers but nothing seemed to work and the troubleshoot detects no problem.

1215N function keys not working?

Doesn't list it for the 1215N *Frown

Funny part all the keys work out of the box with Linux Mint, go figure.

Tried the one on softpedia, doesn't seem to work.

Any other model that I can take it from?

 

AUDIO SERVICE NOT WORKING.

Hi,

In that case, I suggest you follow below.

Step 1:

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Step 2:

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Step 3:

Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 4:

You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

Step 5:

Restart PC

Let me know the results after performing the above.
