    I can't use basic system tools or open most of my files


    I had an update for windows 11 when my D: drive has just refused to open and locked me from all of my important filesIt told me to format the disk but no matter what i clicked it just waited for few minutes and then told me it that i dont have a correct files I tried to open settings and check if any system files were missing or corrupted it didn't work just froze and I had to closeThen I decided to open cmd but I couldn't open it as administrator after a whole day I gave up and tried to factory reset I opened the settings and clicked reset it just froze and I had to close the appthe most i

    opening .dds files with gimp

    Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?

    File System Error when opening pictures

    Thank you for your response. I suggest that you use the System File Checker tool to scan your system files and to repair missing or corrupted system files. The sfc/scannow command
    (System File Check) scans the integrity of all protected operating system files and replaces incorrect, corrupted, changed or damaged versions with the correct versions possible. You may refer to this link for
    more information.



    If the issue persists even after using System File Checker tool, please follow the steps below to run the
    DISM tool:




    • Press Windows key + X and select the Command Prompt (Admin).

    • In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, enter the following commands (Press the Enter key after each command):

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    • To close the Administrator: Command prompt window, type Exit, and press Enter.

    • Restart the machine.

    Corrupted file RAR

    If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:
    • Open WinRAR application in your system.
    • Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
    • A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
    • Now click Open button.
    • Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
    • Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
    • Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
    • Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
    • WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.
    I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.
