Windows 10: I cant use my discrete GPU anymore.

Hello Microsoft, I'm in dire need of assistance. Some days ago, I decided to disassemble my gaming laptop to clean for dust... everything went smoothly or so I thought. After reassembling and turning it on, it booted to Windows but a minute later it returned a BSOD with "Video Scheduler Internal Error", I shut it off and turned it back on with no issues and everything seemed fine. The following day, I decided to game as usual only to discover RDR2 was running on iGPU. That's was when I discovered Windows 11 wasn't detecting my GPU, it shows up on device manager with error 43 but it doesn't sho

Game didn't use the discrete GPU

I have one game that runs just fine before but now it won't use discrete GPU no matter what I do it still won't use it, the game is Grounded (Steam version) it recently has a full release update and since then the game won't use a discrete GPU even though I force it to but the game still not using a discrete GPU.

It's only on this game, I can play other games just fine they're all using discrete GPU automatically.

Things I've tried to fix it:
1. Set the game to run using discrete GPU in NVIDIA Control Panel
2. Verify integrity of game files in Steam

3. Re-install the game 2 times

4. Set my laptop to use discrete GPU all the time

And recently I got a Windows 11 22H2 & NVIDIA driver update, so it's all up to date but the game still not using discrete GPU.
What do you think the problem is? Is it my laptop? Is it the NVIDIA driver or Windows 11 updates? or is it the game that causes the issue?

To set an app to run on the discrete graphics, go to Settings > System Display > Graphics > select Desktop app > Browse > select the game executable on the Steam folder.

After selecting the file, if will appear on the list, select it > Options > select the discrete GPU. If it does not work on the first try, restart the computer and run the game again. Be sure that you are selecting the game executable, some games use a launcher, and changing this option to the launcher will not work. (To be sure you can right-click the game process on the task manager and select "open file location")

 

How to prevent Windows components from always using the discrete gpu and draining battery?

I use Legion Toolkit to shutdown my discrete GPU but Windows Components always bring it back online and nothing I do seems to keep these things from turning the GPU back on.

These are the biggest offenders:

• TextInputHost
  
• SearchHost
  
• StartMenuExperienceHost
  

These three components drain the most battery simply by forcibly turning the power-hungry GPU back on when on battery.
