Windows 10: i can't use my period or comma keys

I can't use my period or comma keys but i can hold shift and get the shift version of the keys I have tried another keyboard and the windows virtual keyboard so im sure its not a hardware problem but i can only use the shift versions Please help me since not being able to use correct grammar makes it hard in school

Comma key is not working

The problem is that the "comma" key doesn't work. When I push the button, nothing happens. I can use the "<" symbol on the same button by pressing it with the shift, but nothing happens when I push the comma by itself.

I tried On-Screen Keyboard, and the comma key was not working there either.

I have been copy-pasting commas into were I need them.

NOTICE: I have found the solution to this problem, and that's why I am making this thread for others to benefit as well.

SOLUTION:

the problem seemed to be with NVIDIA. And turned out to have a very simple solution. You do not have to uninstall anything.

you only have to

1. Open NVIDIA GeForce Experience
2. Go into the overlay settings
3. Keyboard shortcuts
4. By default, the comma key is assigned to something in there. (for me it was muting the mic)
5. Change that key to something else or unassign it (none) by pressing backspace.

Windows Update causing a change to use of decimal characters (period and commas)

Hi,

I work in software tech support. I've had several European users recently experiencing troubles in our software due to decimals being expected as commas or periods or vice versa. Our software will display decimals as either comma or period, but won't accept
data input using either. The first report was on 28 September 2018.

Was there a recent update to localisation that would have affected these users? Is there a release note that lists all changes included in updates? I seem to only be able to find feature changes that affect user experience.

Changing List separator to Comma

Hi

Could you help me about List separator?

I've changed List separator from semicolon to comma(and saved it).

But it seemed that List separator was still semicolon.

Is it because "Decimal separator" is "comma"?

(I found the some websites that said that if the "Decimal separator" is "comma", List separator will not changed from semicolon to comma even though "List separator" is "comma". But I'm not sure if it's true or not. )

*The "format" setting is "English(Netherlands)" in my PC.
