    I can't view my photos from external drive with windows 10 photos app.


    I've been selected the folder on on my external drive in source setting but it doesn't show any of my photo

    Cannot view photos in photo app


    I opened my picture library and double clicked to view photo, photo App opens and shuts immediately and then displays an error message. This happens with all photos/pictures I have tried to open!

    Just to clarify I sign in with a Local account, do I have to sign in with a Microsoft account to use the apps?

    Viewing Photos on External Hard Drive

    Hi Andrew,

    It's good to know that you were able to back up all of your photos and important files in OneDrive. You can view your photos from your external drive in Photo apps. All photos will look exactly the same. You don't have to worry about the quality of the photos.

    Having a hard drive to back up your files is a good option. We wish you luck on your new journey as a father.

    Windows 10 photos app functionality with external hard drive

    Hi,

    I recently organised and moved my 20-year photo collection to an external hard drive. Before I did so, I used to store them on my local machine and easily view them using the Photos App, using the on-screen left and right scrolling arrows. After moving
    them to the external hard drive, the arrows are no longer available. This makes viewing photos on the Photos App impractical. Please help with a solution.
