Windows 10: I can't write to secondary drive

I ran Disk Drill because i wanted to try recovering some files and it didn't work for me so I deleted it, then I realized my F drive wasn't showing its storage, I restarted my pc and it looked normal but after I tried to run an app stored on the F drive and it said that the drive is read only, then I tried changing properties and allowing writing for user accounts but trying to apply it throws an error saying that i can't write to the drive

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

Step 1: Install all app updates from Windows Store.

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.
