Windows 10: I changed my account user name but seems like it didn't work

So um, my problem here is this:

I was looking for a way to change my user name with which my device was registered with "FirstUsername"
So, I stumbled upon many solutions to do so. One was netplwiz, another was through the control panel.



Naturally, I followed it through. First, I went to the control panel. The First account below with the profile picture was my "FirstUsername" user. I changed it to "SecondUsername"






And I restarted my PC. However, when I open my command prompt, it shows my "FirstUsername" account






I went to netplwiz
The second user below is the account in question. It shows the "SecondUsername" Account too




I restarted again


but it still shows C:\Users\FirstUsername





I went to my user folder

The second folder which is canceled above is the "FirstUsername" Account and the fourth folder canceled above is the "SecondUsername" Account



The "SecondUsername" Account is almost empty with just an AppData Folder inside it.


Now, I am all out of options.....

Anybody has any way to fix this?
I have also tried many other methods, but they led me to an error or didn't work but I haven't mentioned them here



Any help is appreciated...

Query about changing the User Accounts name

Perform the steps mentioned below to change the user account name.

• Sign in to the Your info page on the Microsoft account website.
  
• 
  Under your name, select Edit name.
  If there’s no name listed yet, select Add name.
  
• Edit or add the name you want, then choose Save.
  Your Microsoft account name will start to appear or change everywhere you use it.
  

Please revert if you still cannot change the user account name.

Change local user account name in Windows 10

Hello!

I've just reinstalled Win10 and created a second account for my wife. Unfortunately, the login names is the mail she's registered to Microsoft.

How can I change the name.

I've read an answer to same question suggesting following:

Follow the steps provided below to change the username and check.

• Press Windows key + X key.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Under view, select large icons.
• Go to User Account.
• Click on Manage another account

...

"

I don't have that option in Win10.
