Windows 10: I changed my user account name and now my laptop is unable to boot up.

C:\users\susan\


I didn't like my name was incomplete, it was "susan" insted of "susanta" in users folder. So i searched on internet to how to change it.



What I did: Win + r, searched "netplwiz", opened up a window called User Accounts, I select on the the only accountadmin account, I click on properties, it opens up a new window allowing me to change my username, I change my username and click apply. But still the folder name is "susan". Then i can't find my account on the users list where I changed it. Then i think restart could solve my problem, But when i restart it won't boot up and can't auto repair.


Please help.please....

I changed a user name in 'c drive' - 'users'. Now I am unable to log into that account. How do I fix it?

There is a second account on my laptop. I went into the c drive, users, and changed the user name. It was something random (do not remember it) to the name of the account user. Now he is unable to access his account. On the c drive - users, his attempts
to log in are listed as 'Temporary'.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Reason to change name: I didn't like how my name was incomplete for my account name on my PC, it was "carte" instead of "Carter", so I searched on the internet to figure how to change it.

What I did: Win + r, searched "netplwiz", opened up a window called User Accounts, I select on the account that is mine (also the admin), I click on properties, it opens up a new window allowing me to change my username, I change my username and click apply.
And now not only is what I wanted to be changed, not changed, but my entire computer is screwed.

What is wrong that I can tell: I can't find my account on the users list (place where I changed it), I can't use the cortana search, I can't go into settings, and clicking or pressing the window icon on my screen/keyboard does nothing.

Please help, i'm too afraid to even restart my computer.

Edit:: When accessing some files I will get an error message, "No mapping between account names and security IDs was done.

 

I changed my account name and now my account permissions is a mess


Good evening guys,
Today I changed my username and Change User Profile Folder Name but on my hard disk everything right now every program, files and my drives are registered too my previous name




as you guys can see from the above image my previous account name was caffe and now it is james
so all of my permissions are still registered to that previous name

Now what I want is to change all of the permissions to my new user name but the main problem is my new username isn't showing on any of the permissions



as you can see I can't find my new username in the above window Is there is any solution.
