I changed the System board on my PC

I deleted my system in the Microsoft Account and didn't know it would need to be there to transfer the digital license. Before you respond with the "Need a new License" This is NOT OEM and does NOT need a new license because I changed the system board and CPU. Only OEM Licenses are locked to Specific systems, retail licenses are not.How do I get the system back into my account so that I can re-activate windows 10?

    :)

  2. PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

  3. Instructions to change board?

Boot off of the windows CD, repair your XP partition (hopefully you won't have to reinstall windows), install drivers, and you're good to go. You'll see dual channel mode in the BIOS splash screen results from POST. It'll be pretty obvious *Stick Out Tongue I changed the System board on my PC :p. Here's a list of general tweaks for the 939Dual-SATA2.
    Step one- Set time, date
Step two- In CPU settings, disable cool n quiet, set memory clock to DDR400, play with memory timings (CAS-TRAS-TRP-TRCD), which are listed in the bios in the order CAS, TRCD, TRAS, and TRP. EDIT- new BIOS's mess around with this order, can't be too sure on it, but yeah at least you know what the RAM timings stand for *Big Grin I changed the System board on my PC :D.
Leave MA timing at 2T unless you think your system can handle 1T
Step three- in Chipset settings, enable onboard LAN, disable onboard Audio, disable AGP fast write, set primary graphics adapter, and set CPU-NB and NB-SB link speed to 1000mhz.
Step four- in IDE, disable controllers you aren't using. On all drives detected, enable SMART if you can and set PIO/DMA as high as they will go.
Step five- Enable legacy USB support
Step six- Set password if you're worried about anyone screwing around with your BIOS settings
Step seven- Configure your boot sequence. I reccomend hard drive first, optical drive second, and floppy drive third.
Step eight- Save changes, boot into XP, and enjoy your computer.

I changed the System board on my PC

    PC Build Steps

1.1 - Ideally put optical in SATA 0, and SSD in SATA 1, this will cause the optical drive to be the default 1st boot option. You can change it manually if not, but I like it this way
    2.infinity - yes, that's fine. if it's above 70 +/- 5 degrees, then it may just need a repaste/remount
