Windows 10: I clicked on a link and my system has some issues

bit of a inappropriate question but i got sent a link and clicked on it and it took me to ph it said turn on Microsoft security so i did and then ot said something about ip i got scared and i factory reset my pc and now it wont work also I was on incognito [Original Title: help]

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Links in Windows 10 e-mail won't open. When I click on a link, it says "application not found".

• How are you accessing your Email account? Is it through browser or any application?
• If through app, which app are you using?
• Is this issue specific to any link? Did you using different links?
• Which is the default browser set on your Computer?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to change your default browser to other browser like IE or Edge and check if this helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on System.
• Select Default apps and change the browser under web browser.

Blank page on clicking link on Microsoft Edge

I suggest you to try the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

If you are using any Proxy connection, then try disabling the proxy connection and check.

Follow the steps to disable proxy:

            Click the Settings icon at the top right corner in internet explorer.
            
          • 
            Click the Tools button, and then click
            Internet Options.
            
          • 
            Click the Connections tab, and then click
            LAN settings.
            
          • 
            Uncheck the box next to “proxy server for your LAN”.

            Click on OK to save the setting and close window.
            
            Now check the issue by opening Edge.
            

Method 2:

You may check the same issue with the new user account.

Try these steps to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue. Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:

  Go to Settings.
  
• 
  Choose Accounts and then select Other User Accounts towards the left.
  
• 
  Select Add an Account.
  
• 
  Enter a user name and hit
  Next.
  
• 
  Click on Finish.
  
• 
  Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
