Windows 10: I Cloud for Windows 10 has eviscerated Outlook 2019

I was running an early version of icloud for windows and it worked, providing my calendars and contacts



I figured I’d ty to update to the new iCloud for Windows 10.



I get an error message 0x800706ba and the folder C:\program files\Common Files\Apple\InternetServces that is supposed to be populated with loads of files:

Has none - this has happened repeatedly and Apple Engineers told higher level support that if these files aren't there, i should try with my firewall down or set exemptions, Well hell, exemption can't be set with my McAfee system without the files to select.


At this point I decided to uninstall and go back to the earlier version, but have been unable to recapture my contacts or calendars.



They are all there in icloud, but I really need them to get back in Outlook. I’m in a real quandary and have no clue how to proceed.



BTW, when I ran the icloud for windows 10 install, the firewall and real-time scanning were offline.



Please help in any way. I am tech savvy and have been working with computers since the first Apples and PC’s. I’ve built computers. I usually am able to figure things out, but I have no idea where to start.


I would love to be able to get Outlook and iCloud to work together again.

Office 2019

Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.

How to install outlook express on windows xp with explorer 8?

This is an awkward problem to solve and one I don't think is worth the time and effort.

The OP would be better off either using a modern webmail service like gmail or outlook.com or using a modern email client like Windows Live Mail like FX-GMC suggested or Thunderbird from Mozilla. If nothing else, Outlook Distress was notorious for corrupting its data files and losing all your email in one easy step. Not worth it.

 

Outlook & I cloud for Windows

Hi each time I open I Cloud I get a box which says Repair I Cloud for Windows to use Outlook in I cloud. I have removed I cloud reinstalled it & even tried the repair function but it still occurs. I have contacted Apple who were unable to resolve it & suggested
I contact Microsoft. I really only use Outlook for my mail is there a way round this?

OS Windows 10 64 bit.
