I connect my phone to my pc via usb,it connects and charges,but there is no option of my phone on the pc. My phone doesn't show on the laptop. Took it to a local repair shop,he tried updated windows and all,but it didn't work out either.

I have had Samsung phone for seven years now. Years ago I followed someones advice and use the Developer option to fix the USB problem. Later on I found out that was unnecessary because the real solution was to just restart my phone. I then disable the Developer option because it wasn't needed. Note on my Samsung phones I would only have to configure the USB charging/file transfer mode the first time. From then on the phone would automatically switch to file transfer mode when the phone was connected to my laptop with a USB cable. What you should say is notification. Notifications don't normally pop up. You have to swipe down from the top of the screen and look for the USB notification. The following is for Android 12 on a Samsung S21. The USB notification should say "USB for file transfer"

If the USB notification says something else like "USB charging" then

Tap on notification and change the option to "Transferring files ..."

It is supposed to. I suggest you investigate on your phone. Perhaps some[charging-only] default choice was set ages ago and that [charging-only] default suppresses the popup.

Many phones default to charging-only connections [that would explain your symptoms] until the popup is responded to [the choices are likely to be charging-only connection, data / file transfer connection, USB tethering]. See if you can get more specific advice in the Samsung user manual, Samsung support & their user forums. Unable to connect phone with PC

Now if the phone is the only device not detected via USB connection. I suggest you to follow the simple steps and check if the following suggestions help.

• Check if the phone battery charges itself when connected (irrespective of detected or not).
• Check the "USB debugging" settings in your phone if the option for Mass Storage is available.
• Check if the phone is detected in Windows via Device Manager settings.
• Check with the manufacturer's website if any new drivers for the phone is available in Windows.
• Check if the USB drivers for your computer is up to date.
  
  Ref: install and update the latest drivers
  in Windows 10.
• Check with a different USB port as well as try connecting with a new USB cable to the computer. Also, check with another computer to identify whether the issue is with the phone settings.
