  1. I created a new user on Windows 11. Some Application Shortcuts and Folders were removed...

I wanted to make a new user on my desktop that was for work/professional use only. I did so via Settings > Accounts > Other Users > Add Account button. However, upon signing into the new account, I found that several of my gaming/hobby related shortcuts had moved to the new user and been removed from the old one along with my Desktop folder in File Explorer. I tried to take a screenshot but it won't let me upload the png file. I don't mind having to make new shortcuts for those programs as they are still accessible from the original user, but I do need my desktop folder back. I also h

  2. creating new folder problem in windows 10 creator

    Hi Gudiya,

The problem you've encountered in creating a folder could be caused by software or program conflict as the issue appeared a few days after installing the Windows 10 Creators update. For us to know if this only occurs when creating a new folder from the desktop,
we suggest that you try creating a new folder using a keyboard shortcut or from File Explorer. Please refer to the steps below:

Creating a new folder using a keyboard shortcut.

    • Click on the desktop.
    • Press CTRL + SHIFT + N.
    • A new folder should be created.

Creating a new folder from File Explorer.

    • Open File Explorer.
    • Hover your mouse on the location where you want to create a new folder.
    • Right-click it, go to New > Folder.

In case the problem persists, then we suggest that you go ahead and perform a clean boot. Doing so will start your computer using minimal drivers to help us determine what conflict is causing the problem. Check out
How to perform a clean boot in Windows for the detailed steps.

Let us know the result so we can further assist you.

    Regards.

    Create Minecraft Shortcut application

I threw this application together quick because making Minecraft use more RAM is a PITA. Download, extract it, run it, and it will ask for everything it needs (generally, that would be the path to Minecraft and where you want the shortcut saved).

It auto-detects Java 32-bit and 64-bit and the amount of RAM installed and suggests Xmx and Xms values accordingly. It supports minecraft.jar, minecraft_server.jar, Minecraft.exe, and Minecraft_Server.exe.

Note: You can use it on any file to be launched by Java by using the "All Files" filter, not just Minecraft.

Once you got the shortcut, you can safely delete CreateMinecraftShortcut.exe--it is no longer needed.

Requires .NET Framework 4.0 Client Profile (Windows only).

It uses ShellLink code by Mattias Sjogren (Copyright 2002).

Spoiler: Version History 1.0.0 - Console User Interface
    2.0.0 - Graphic User Interface
2.0.1 - Corrected a bug with an icon that caused the program to crash on start on some operating systems (noticed it on Server 2003).
