Windows 10: I cut the text from one word file to past it somewhere else and accidently saved the file...

I cut the text form one word file named Part II and want to past it in Part I. But I saved Part II file after cutting the text. When I tried to past it, it was not showing past option and I lost data. What to do?

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

 

Cutting and pasting in word

When I cut text in word it is not there when I want to paste it. I can copy and paste but then need to go back and delete the text I've just copied. I've had windows 10 since April and I'm sure I've been able to do it before but I can't today. I've gone through the advanced options but can't seem to find anything which applied to cut and paste. Help.

 

rtf. file

Some documents when saved takes up space due to its components. For us to help you with your concern, we'd like to know if your rtf file has images on it.

Meanwhile, if your rtf file has pure texts, we suggest that you follow the steps below to reduce the size of your rtf file:

• Compose your rtf file in Microsoft Word.
• Instead of saving, copy and paste your composition to WordPad. All the formatting is copied over too.
  
• Save the document with WordPad, and you'll get a significantly smaller file.
