Windows 10: I deleted a VMD driver that was installed without my consent. 5 hours later I'm resetting...

This has been the most frustrating setting I've ever come across. I finally installed Windows on my M.2 SSD a couple days ago after disabling VMD controller. It was finally being read by the OS for what it was: an M.2 drive. Not a RAID. Not a PCIe. Not a VMD. So why does Intel insist on calling it something else? Oh but not so fast - a driver installed itself today... Yep, it was the notorious Intel Rapid Storage Technology. I was fed up. I deleted the driver from device manager and then found myself in an endless series of boot loops and crashes and Bitlocker recoveries. There was nothing I c

ATI Driver install problems

Hi!

There seems to be a kind of a mess after deletion of your current driver.
Have you tried step-by-step drivers update procedure including Driver Sweeper, deleting Prefetch and Temp folders, etc?

Ok, so let me get the basics down first.

1st delete the old driver(software or one by one)
2nd Install new drivers from download
3rd test new drivers

Reboot after steps 1 & 2?

i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
Step 1
reinstall windows from scratch
Step 2
install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
Step 3
update windows
Step 4
install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
Step 5
Install GPU drivers
Step 6
go back to using your pc without issue.
