I deleted Killer Intelligence Center from my PC because it was causing upload speed issues, not my ethernet is showing no connection to the internet. I've reset the Wi-Fi, updated drivers, restarted the pc, etc. I'm not sure what to do now. I've tried to redownload the Killer Intelligence Center from the Microsoft Store, but I keep getting an error saying there was a problem on their side. The reason I deleted KIC, is because the prioritization engine was making my upload speed go to zero, so I would turn it off. But, it would cut back on by itself, so I deleted the app. Now, I am stuck with a

Hi Horace, I reinstalled the Killer Intelligence Center and turned off the Prioritization Engine (and also the auto bandwidth). My internet is back to its normal speed!

Killer Intelligence Centre causing a problem

    Hi,

    R. Cord here, Independent Expert. Hope you are doing well.

There could be several reasons why your internet connection is still slow even after uninstalling the Killer Intelligence Center. Here are some things you can try:

Restart your computer: Sometimes, after uninstalling a program, you need to restart your computer to ensure all the changes take effect. Try restarting your computer and see if your internet connection speeds up.

Check your network adapter settings: Killer Intelligence Center may have changed your network adapter settings. To check, go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings. Right-click on your network adapter and select Properties. Check if any items are checked that may be affecting your internet speed. You can also try disabling and re-enabling the adapter.

Check for malware: It's possible that Killer Intelligence Center installed some malware on your computer that is affecting your internet connection. Run a full system scan using your antivirus software to check for any viruses or malware.

Check for other software: It's possible that other software on your computer is causing the internet connection issue. Check to see if any other software was installed around the same time as Killer Intelligence Center. If so, try uninstalling that software and see if your internet connection speeds up.

Check your internet connection speed: Use a website like speedtest.net to check your internet connection speed. This will help you determine if the issue is with your internet service provider (ISP) or your computer.

Update your network adapter drivers: Outdated network adapter drivers can sometimes cause internet connection issues. To update your drivers, go to Device Manager, find your network adapter, right-click on it, and select "Update driver."

Disable unnecessary startup programs: Some programs may be running in the background and consuming your computer's resources, which can slow down your internet connection. To disable startup programs, go to Task Manager, click on the "Startup" tab, and disable any unnecessary programs.

Reset your router: Sometimes, resetting your router can fix internet connection issues. To do this, unplug your router for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Wait a few minutes for your router to restart and try to connect to the internet again.

Change your DNS settings: Your ISP's default DNS settings may be slowing down your internet connection. To change your DNS settings, go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings. Right-click on your network adapter and select Properties. Select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click on "Properties." Select "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter the following DNS server addresses: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

I hope these additional troubleshooting steps help you resolve your internet connection issue.

    With best Regards,

    R. Cord

Killer Intelligence Centre causing a problem

A few weeks ago, Dell installed Killer Intelligence Centre on my computer. It slowed my internet so much, pages weren't loading. I would get error pages. It took ridiculous amounts of time to navigate sites. I uninstalled Killer Intelligence Centre and everything returned to normal. My download speed is only around 30 MB per second. I don't have the best package. I'm not even a gamer. Today, Windows Updates reinstalled Killer Intelligence Centre without asking me. I've uninstalled it, again, but my internet connection is still slow. What's causing the problem now?
