I did not receive all updates on "update Tuesday" on March 14 2023. In particular I didn't receive "Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2". I received the Malicious software removal tool and "2023-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64 based systems KB5023696".Can anyone tell me if this was also an issue for you?

    :)

Windows 10: How can I install only Patch Tuesday updates, not “C” and “D” Updates?

In case someone doesn't know, Windows has its most important and other previously tested updates on the second Tuesday of every month (Patch Tuesday, a.k.a. "B" updates). Unfortunately, they also have “C” and “D” updates on the 3rd and 4th week respectively, which contain less tested bug fixes, etc.

Here is a link describing it: Link

Obviously, I don't want to be a test subject, especially since I work on my PC, so I only want "B" patches. Unless there is a critical patch, I want to usually wait for 1-2 weeks, just in case there is a problem with the patches. But that means that if I update then I run more risks by downloading the "C” and “D” Updates.

Is there any way (maybe a tool) to select which updates to download? The only one I can think of is by manually downloading each one, which is not very convenient?

EDIT: Some people mention that I have to click "Check for updates" in order to receive the unwanted updates. It is my mistake that I forgot to mention that although I have not pressed it, I have the following updates pending:

    KB4487044: Feb 12 (patch Tuesday)

As you can see, 3 of them were released later

Windows 10 Store & Mail Lock ups Since Tuesday, March 14, 2017 Updates

My Lenovo S510P Touch notebook was working fine with Windows 10 until after the Tuesday, March 14, 2017 Windows Updates.

    Since the updates:

    • My up-to-date Firefox browser quits responding after multiple tabs are running
    • Mail utterly fails whenever I start a reply. Then Mail will not restart without a reboot
    • Store refuses to open
I tried many things including uninstalling two of the updates (which of course will soon get automatically reinstalled). I tried the reset of the Store but it comes back with a cryptic, sort of unprofessional response, "We couldn't reset this app. Try again
in a bit." that in red font no less. Repeated tries get the same response. Found various solutions using the cmd prompt and powershell - did not work.

I think this is exactly what I feared with Win10 would happen. AND Microsoft ought to fix it. I should not have to run various fixes attempting to resolve the issues. The issues were not there on Monday, March 13th, 2017. The only system
changes and/or installations were the Windows Updates of Tuesday, March 14, 2017.
