Windows 10: I did "reset this PC -> remove everything" (non USB/DVD reset) on my laptop with a broken...

This laptop is Lenovo Z560. Any tips appreciated. I also tried pugging the HDMI cable in and out.

If it helps in anyway, the capslock and nm lock lights changes when the caps lock and nm lock keys are pressed. Not sure where to go from here haha.

CANT FACTORY RESET MY LAPTOP OR RESET MY PC

Dear Sayan,

I have followed the guidelines suggested to Rest PC. I have tried a clean reset and the one with files, but nothing works. I also tried the below option but I got an error (posted below).

• Using the tool to create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) to install Windows 10
  on a different PC (click to show more or less information)

Can you suggest what other ways are possible to reset my PC.

 

reset laptop password

i could not figure out what forum this should go in, so feel free to move to whatever forum it should be in.
a friend just called, and said he has 2 daughters and 2 dell laptops. his daughters have lost the password to both laptops. is there a way to reset the password without a full reformat? he said his daughters have a lot of music, pictures, ect. and wants to avoid reinstalling windows.
i know that a long time ago there was a jumper on the motherboard that would reset the password on a regular pc. is there such a jumper on a laptop? or is there any free software that would let him reset the passwords? he can not afford a dell tech to fix, and i told him i would see if there was a way to reset it without a format. thanks!
he called me from out of state and due to a bad connection i couldnt find out what model laptops they are. thanks again! sam

 

Windows Reset Not Visible

Thanks for that info, but I now realize that one of the major problems with this laptop is that non-lettered partition, full of recovery data from the original Windows 8. That's what is causing that mini Windows check every time it reboots. Resetting the laptop while keeping my friend's files won't do anything about that partition. It'll just replace the current Windows OS. So I think I'm going to do a clean install.
