    Using a USB for my latest windows 10 update, I started it and finally gave up after waiting 80 hours for it to happen. I have an HP Stream laptop with windows 10 home/personal computer. I was 10G short and used a 64G USB. Can anyone help me with this??? I'm losing my mind!!!

    NEED INSTRUCTIONS; HOW TO MOVE FILES FROM STREAM LAPTOP TO EXTERNAL DRIVE, TO MAKE ROOM FOR WINDOWS 10 UPDATE.

    I bought HP STREAM notebook with Windows 10 installed. Virtually worthless piece of junk with minimalist hard drive space! I keep getting MS messages saying Windows 10 wants to update and there is NOT ENOUGH SPACE ON MY HARD DRIVE to allow update! I
    have old MAXTOR external hard drive which I connected to Stream.
    I NEED step by step INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO MOVE FILES FROM STREAM LAPTOP TO EXTERNAL DRIVE, TO MAKE ROOM FOR WINDOWS UPDATE 10.


    UNABLE to find any instructions anywhere on HOW to transfer files, to make room for updates!

    1. May I know the version of Windows that you are using?
    2. What is the total hard disk space of your laptop?

    I would suggest you to take a backup of all your user data, after which you can try and perform the steps to

    Free up drive space in Windows 10    . Check if that helps.

    I have tried and tried to update to the new windows but I have a HP stream and as for the new update it requires 8GB and my laptop hasn't got enough space and everything on it is what windows or HP has put on it or it tells you that you have to put it on;
    and so now i can't update my laptop that I've had for 6 months and cant afford to go out and buy and brand new laptop and I'm a student.

    And ideas please to help me to update or make room on it for the update? I have delete everything that it will let me delete but still can't update.
