    Monitors disabled in device manager

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

For better clarity, please let us know:

    • When you say, “Whenever Windows 10 goes to sleep and then turns back on, all 3 monitor profiles are disabled” do you mean monitors doesn’t wake up from sleep?
    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
    • Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
      Enter.
    • What is the make and model of the computer?

I suggest you to check if there are any greyed out Monitors in Device Manager. To check refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows Logo key + X, and select
      Device Manager.
    2. Click on View and select
      Show hidden devices
      .
    3. Expand Monitors and see if there are any greyed out devices.
    4. If you find any greyed out devices, right click on the device and select
      Uninstall device.

You can also try selecting the Automatic Driver Updates
    option from
    https://www.geforce.com/drivers
, this will automatically detect the drivers and download them.

    .

Alternatively, you can visit the computer manufacturer’s website and check if there is any BIOS update available. However, we recommend that you check with your motherboard manufacturer regarding BIOS update.

Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting
from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Let us know how it goes.

  3. Device Manager Un-Hiding Hidden Devices

When you connect a plug and play device, Windows Plug and Play manager detects it, finds and installs the driver. Device Manager lists the device with a solid icon.

The driver is only removed when you uninstall the device, not simply by disconnecting the device. When the device is disconnected, its driver is still installed. By default, Device Manager only displays connected devices. When you show hidden devices, note the Bluetooth icon you see is semi-transparent (not opaque). That indicates a "non-present" device. Sometimes also called a "ghost" device. The driver is still installed but the device is not currently detected (i.e. not connected).

    Device can be disconnected when
    • Device unplugged (e.g. removing a USB device)
    • Turning a device OFF
    • Disabling the device in BIOS (then windows won't detect it) or
    • Device failure

    So
    • Check BIOS as suggested
    • Check board connections
    • Can b/t be turned off by a switch? or keyboard combination?
Also possible the b/t h/w failed
