Windows 10: I don’t have access to any file/picture/apps in my computer

I have tried to communicate with someone but there isn’t a way. All my pics, documents, and even apps were linked on one drive now that I deslinked I habe nothing on my computer and in one deive it doesn’t allow me to download anything.I need help getting my computer back all my information on my laptop and not drive plus my setting and apps download as they were.

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

 

Accessing Files

• Don’t start or end your filename with a space, period, hyphen, or underline.
• Save your file in a Folder on the C: drive, Desktop or in a Directory (ie) Pictures, Music, Downloads etc

 

MOVING ALL PICTURES/VIDEOS FROM THE PHOTO APP TO PICTURE FILE

'My Pictures' did show an access denied message, but this was solved. 'My pictures' only had some of the missing pictures in it.

Pictures in question were transferred from an external hard drive when I purchased this computer. The computer had Windows 8 and I updated to Windows 10. The photos have ended up in The Photo App. I need to be able to access all the photos. I have purchased
a new hard drive, can I transfer the photos from the Photo App and transfer them back to the computer so they go to pictures in This PC? HOW?

I have tried to make Windows Photo Viewer my default program but I can't successfully do that. I can view the photos in The Photo App and Windows Media Player.
