I don't have access to the Windows Boot Manager.

I have a hard disk drive and an SSD. When I start or restart the computer I have a blue screen which says your PC/Device need to be repaired. I have to go through UEFI Firmware settings, boot device options and chose Windows Boot Manager. How can I skip these steps to get the screen which asks me in which partition to boot?

    :)

  2. Windows boot manager

There could be some system conflict triggered after the said changes. To help you with your concern, we suggest that you perform a clean boot. A
clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This will help to determine what is causing the issue on the Windows boot manager. To do this, click on this
link and scroll down to the
How to determine what is causing the problem by performing a clean boot section then follow the steps listed..

Note: If the installation is successful and the issue has been resolved. Please go through the section “How to reset the computer to start as usual” to reset your computer to the normal startup.

Let us know how it goes after performing the suggested steps.

  4. I don't have access to the Windows Boot Manager.

    don

    Hi Donald,

Thank you for using Windows 10.

Let us know if you're facing any issues with boot to desktop and does the issue occur after login?

If you're able to boot to the desktop, then I would suggest you to follow the steps and check:

    • Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
    • Click File > Run New Task
    • Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
    • Type CMD
    • Type the following 4 commands at the CMD prompt:

      dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

      sfc /scannow

      powershell

      Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
    • Close the CMD window
Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.

Keep us posted on the status of the issue and we’ll be glad to help.
