Windows 10: I dont have access to Windows defender.

So, I played one game on steam (stellaris) and got a problems with my mods. Tried to fix it by managing exclusions on Malwarebytes but soon decided to delete Malwarebytes and tried to use windows defender. But now I got a bigger problem because it is said that my windows defender is managed by my organization even though it is my personal computer. Afterwards I went to another site and there was a tutorial how to fix it. I've made a command in cmd

REG DELETE "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender" /v DisableAntiSpyware

but it said ¨accesss denied¨ How to fix it?

My specs.

rtx 2070

i7 (laptop model)

32 gb of unknown ram

and all other components are also unknown.

Windows version : Windows 10 home 10.0.18363

Windows Defender Error Code 0x800106ba

I have done all this. When I go to try and find Windows Defender in the second step there is no Windows Defender listed. Windows Essentials is still listed and it wont let me uninstall it because it will also uninstall other apps.

So now what do you suggest. I still cant get my Windows Defender to work right and feel my computer is unprotected.

This has been that way ever since downloading Windows 10. Which seems to have problems after problems. I dont care for it all. Microsoft real needs to get all bugs worked out before releasing something. I waiting as long as I could to download this.

 

Windows Defender automatically disabled

Thank you for responding.

I suggest you to place the computer in safe mode and check if the Windows Defender works.

Method 1:

Step 1: Start computer in safe mode.

• 
  Type Settings in the search box on the desktop, select
  Settings.
  
• 
  Here select Change pc settings and then
  General.
  
• 
  Scroll down to Advanced startup, click
  Restart now.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshoot, Advanced options, and Startup Settings.
  
• 
  Click Restart, select
  Safe mode and then press Enter.
  

Step 2: Try to
run the Windows Defender in safe mode.

Steps:

• Press Windows key and type Windows Defender.
• Right click on it and select Run as Administrator.
• It may prompts you to enter the password.

Method 2: If the issue still persists, place the computer in normal mode and check for the Windows Defender services.

Step 1: Place the computer in normal mode.

• Press Windows + R keys to open
  Run command.
• Type msconfig and press
  Enter.
• In the System Configuration
  window, click on General tab.
• Select Start-up selection as Normal startup, click on Apply and Ok.
• Follow onscreen instructions.

Step 2: Once you are in normal mode, I suggest you to check for the
Windows Defender services.

• Press Windows + R keys to open
  Run command.
• Type services.msc and press
  Enter.
• Search for Windows Defender, right click on it and
  start the service.
• Also, set the Startup type to
  Automatic.
• Do the same for Windows Defender Network Inspection Service.
• Now check if you are able to access Windows Defender.
