  1. I don't know how to disable automatic gain control of the microphone

I've been having this problem with my microphone for a while. It doesn't matter how much and which program I change my microphone settings, Windows 11 will continue to change them automatically even while I speak. I searched various threads and did various tests, including: system audio advancedregistrationproperties on the microphone in use advanced disabled "Allow applications to take exclusive control of the device". Has anyone found a solution?Thank you

    :)

    Easy enable/disable microphone?

My bro just got a microphone and I was wondering if there's an easy way to enable or disable it. I know you can right click on the volume icon, click on select recording devices then select the microphone, then click properties, then click on levels, and mute it - but that's just way too many steps, I'm looking for a more obvious and much easier way to do it.
