Windows 10: I don't know how to setup usb ethernet device.

I recently bought an [onn] 8 port usb hub for the ethernet port for my laptop because it only uses wifi, and has no ethernet ports. However, I am not seeing my usb ethernet port as an option in th network settings. This has happened before, except with features that were supposed to come readily available on my laptop, like my sd card slot being completely no-functional, even after installing drivers. I'm not sure what to do or how to fix. Acer Spin 3, with Windows 10.

Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + X and click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the USB drivers

Uninstall and reinstall the USB drivers from device manager follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Search for USB Drivers and expand it.
• Right click on the USB Drivers and select
  Uninstall.
• Restart the Computer.

Also install the latest USB drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

I didnt know they made usb ethernet cards, cant say I have ever tried one, but your going to be limited by the usb port speed so dont be expecting gigabit
