Windows 10: I don't know how to uninstall Windows Subsystem for Linux

Hello,I am on Windows 11, a while ago I installed the Windows subsystem for linux WSL. Since it was no longer of any use to me, I decided to uninstall it. I tried any way but I can't.I have already removed the ticks on "Windows Features" regarding "Windows SubSystem for Linux" and "Virtual Machine Platform"I also tried this command for Powershell "Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux."If I go to "System Components" I still see "Windows Subsystem for Linux" but I can't uninstall it.These days also the Linux icon has appeared on the desktop, I d

Turn off Linux Subsystem Updates

1. Open Settings.

2. Click on Apps.

3. Click on Apps & features.

4. Under the “Related settings” section, click the Programs and Features option from the right side.

5. Click the “Turn Windows features on or off” option.

6. Clear the “Virtual Machine Platform” option.

7. Clear the “Windows Subsystem for Linux” option.

8. Click the OK button.

If you have already tried these steps and still receive updates for the Linux subsystem, try uninstalling WSL 2 Linux kernel update by following these steps:

How to remove Linux Subsystem

Hi,

windows store apps are not listed in the legacy control panel menu.

You can uninstall them either from the start menu (Right click>uninstall) or go to Settings>Apps>Installed Apps.

If you want to uninstall the subsystem component itself, either you need to uninstall it through the start menu ("Windows Subsystem for Linux Preview") or disable it features (Search for: "Turn windows features on or off" then disable "Windows Subsystem for Linux").
