Windows 10: I don't know what to google for to fix this annoying folder structure "thing". Can you tell...

You see how its not a "regular" folder but one that is ordered by "today"? I HATE this thing. I want to revert back to the good old simple folder structure I had for centuries. What's this "thing" called?

Lumia 1520 default structure picture folders

Hi, can anyone tell me what the default structure for the phone's picture folder should be?



I mean the the structure you see when you look at your phone on the computer.



I have :



Phone:

• Pictures:
  • Pictures:
    • from "phone name":
      • Camera Roll
      • Camera-album
      • Saved Pictures
  • Camera Roll
  • Sample Pictures
  • Saved Pictures

Is this the correct structure? I have the feeling something is wrong and things are double now, but I am not sure, and I don't want to experiment with deleting things just yet.

extract and preserve folders and pathways?


Extract All has always preserved folder structure for me. I don' t use it any more as I prefer 7-ZIP. It's Extract here and Extract to always preserver folder structure.

Edit: I just tested this by creating a zip file with several folders in it, each of which has a couple files. There were also files not in those folders.

I then copied the zip file to another location then did a Extract all and everything was exactly as the source. Folder strusture and content was exactly the same as the original.

Don't know what your customers are doing or how they are doing it but you need them to provide a step by step scenario so you or someone here can try to recreate it.
