Windows 10: I don’t want to enter my password when entering my laptop

Hi all. Not too good with computer issues, but I have been reluctantly chosen as the household tech wizard. lol

Husband updated his laptop to Windows 10 several months ago. So far it's been good, and he likes it...that is until this morning. He opens the laptop...no internet connection. It shows our wifi network, but won't connect. He enters his password...says he needs to enter password for that device. Enter password from before Windows 10...no good. Enter password for micorstoft...no good.

Using my laptop (Windows 7) to find fix. Suggestions I've tried: Troublshoot network connection by right clicking. Right Click won't work...nothing happens. Maybe keyboard language is wrong...no settings button available to look at keyboard properties. Try connecting directly to router...won't make connection. We've rebooted the computer a couple of times, to no avail.

Our phones are connected, my laptop is connected, our chromecast is connected, so we know it's not the router. There is something up with his laptop.

Playing ring around the rosey is not the best way to spend a Sunday morning. no internet connection = no ability to enter password = not able to troubleshoot internet connection = no internet connection = no ability to enter password.

Hi,

I have a Toshiba P55W-C laptop that's asking for a password upon powering on. The first thing that appears is a white on-screen keypad that ask for a password(see attached picture #1) . After a few attempts entering my password, it switches to a red banner error message saying, "Verify error!! Press ENTER to continue" , with "ENTER" in a blue box inside of the red banner(attached picture #2).

If anyone can offer any help please respond. Any helpful suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

BTW, The laptop is running Windows 10.

Is it possible not to enter the password/PIN at Window startups?

You may have missed a step. After the un-check, click apply, then the next screen will ask for the Pasword twice. Enter and OK. Then OK again. That should do it.
