I don't want to turn on or encrypt my local disks but windows force me because of the bitlocker. It will become read-only if disk if I didn't turn on the BitLocker, that's why I have no choice but to turn on the bitlocker to all of my disks and I don't want it. How can I fix it? please help me

Bitlocker Drive Encryption

Recently I was attempting to encrypt my drive with bitlocker because windows was suggesting to encrypt them via the security page when logging into my account. Though, when I do attempt to encrypt them with bitlocker it states that my drive is already
encrypted via bitlocker. I was wondering if there was a different way that it needs to be set up because I was hoping to add the extra layer of security to my drives with bitlocker encryption and password protecting them via a recovery key.

I used BitLocker to encrypt UFDs for some time, until I encountered problems trying to unblock a UFD (the window to enter the password didn´t appear, further actions lead to freezes).

Now I use virtual disks encrypted with BitLocker. I haven´t found any problems yet. An advantage or this method is that it permits to encrypt only part of the UFD. For me it´s not important if someone looking at the drive knows that it´s encrypted.

I haven´t used VeraCrypt to encrypt UFDs, but have used containers (volumes) encrypted with it for years. Not one single problem after thousands of mount and unmount operations, copies to other drives to backup the containers, etc.
