Windows 10: I don't where to plug my microphone and there is no youtube tutorials explaining how.

I have a vostro 3888 The black one and there is a headset plug in the front and a green headphone jack at the back I've tried both but neither of them pick up the microphone of my headset I want to talk with my friends

Your computer may be having an issue detecting your microphone that is why you're always seeing the notification. We recommend that you disable, and then re-enable your microphone to resolve the issue. To do this, follow these steps:

• On the lower right part of your screen, right-click the speaker or sound icon.
• Choose Recording devices.
• Right-click on the list of recording devices, and then make sure that the
  Show disabled devices option is checked. If the option is not checked, kindly click it.
  
• Right-click on your microphone, and then select Disable.
• Right-click again on your microphone, and then select Enable.
• Click OK.
• Check if you'll encounter the microphone notification again.

Thanks, have heard this before...is their a step by step procedure to OC using the bios settings you suggest.
i don’t intend pushing this to its limit...but some increase would be great, any suggestions on a good air cooler ?
