  2. Windows program to secure erase files only

I tried doing a search and only found optimal ways to fully erase a disc. Since there are a ton of programs I thought it best to just ask for a current recommendation. I would like to erase a few folders only on a W7 machine and do not need a full time paid program.

    Thank you for any suggestions.

I downloaded a Nmap file and ran it by accident, which led to me using Erase Secure+,...

nmap has stopped working and will close.

Most of the first section of your post helped me out, however, access was denied to the file location (when I right clicked on NMap to open it). So instead I right clicked on NMap in the 'Processes' list and I selected Properties (from memory) and followed
a process to run a check on the program to fix the issues with it. I wish I wrote the exact process down so that I could help anyone else who's stuck, but hopefully you can also figure it out based on this tip off.

So far (it's been several hours), the message hasn't come up again.

Thank you for getting me half way there, and on the path to solve it. I downloaded a Nmap file and ran it by accident, which led to me using Erase Secure+,... :)
