Windows 10: i dropped something on the top of my laptop and it turned off.

I have the Aspire 3 A315 41. I dropped my headphones in the left side of the keyboard then it turned off. I tried turning it on and it opened but there us a noticable slowness i recently upgraded to 8gb Ram then after trying playing a game, it crashed to the blue screen of death after 10mins. I restarted it and wont turn on for some time, now I noticed the light in the side so i opened it and its opened. But its still slow and Im scared to play anything or it might die forever. What should I do? Is there a restart key that I should do?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

WiFi keeps dropping out (on laptop only)

As mentioned above, check that the network adapter is not set to turn off in Power Managment.

Right-click > Properties > Configure > Power Management

If your signal is dropping, it could be interference, the channel is being heavily used in you area, etc.

That's why I suggested the steps to check.

I would also check the router logs, and the Windows Event Logs for clues.

That's how you start finding out.
