Windows 10: I encountering full GREY SCREEN in the middle of doing some browsing using Chrome

Discus and support I encountering full GREY SCREEN in the middle of doing some browsing using Chrome in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; I will appreciate all your suggestions on my post.     I encountering full GREY SCREEN in the middle of doing some browsing using Chrome


    I will appreciate all your suggestions on my post.


    Is there any way why I am getting grey screen whenever I am doing some browsing or just listening to music, literally it appeared grey screen all over the screen, BLANK GREY SCREEN, how can I possibly fix this? Is a hardware or software problem.

  2. "Google chrome critical error"

    I got this from accidentally clicking on an ad while multitasking.

    • Use ctrl-alt-delete to access "Task Manager".
    • Right click "Chrome" and select "End Task"
    • Reopen Chrome.
    • If you don't see the "critical error" screen, click the three dots on the right-hand-side of your browser.
    • Select "More tools" > "Clear browsing data..."
    • Make sure the "Time Range" is set to include when you encountered the error.
    • Check all boxes.
    • Select "Clear Data"
    • Open Windows Defender Security Center and select "Advanced scan"
    • Select "Full scan"
    • "Scan now
    Steps 9-11 are just a peace-of-mind precaution. You should be fine clearing your browser data per steps 1-8.

  3. How to disable grey rectangle in middle of computer screen- fixed.

    How do I get rid of a rectangle, 2x1 inches in middle of screen. Grey in colour. Cursor goes under it. We have turned off computer. No good still there. We are having to work with it but it is difficult. we do not know how to disable. we cannot move it
    out of the way.

    Shockwave Pulgin not responding, we will help you with this issue.

    Do let us know the following to assist you better:

    • Have you have tried to installed the flash player as suggested in the previous reply?
    • Does the same issue persists on Microsoft Edge as well?
    • Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?

    Step 1: As you are facing issues with Internet Explorer, I suggest you to Reset Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

    Change or reset Internet Explorer settings

    Step 2: For issues with Google Chrome, I suggest you to uninstall the browser from Programs and features and reinstall it from the website. Check if it helps.


    • Press Windows + x key to open a task list from the bottom left corner of the screen.

    • Select Programs and Features.

    • Right click on Google Chrome
      and select uninstall and follow the onscreen instructions.
    Try to download Google Chrome from the below link using Internet Explorer/ Microsoft Edge:
