I factory reset and now I don’t have a network adapter or driver?

I’ve spent a whole 24hrs trying to figure out this issue. I found my old computer that runs windows it’s a RCA W101SA23. I factory reset it and now an option for WiFi is non existent. I’ve tried pretty much everything and when I troubleshoot it says I have no network adapter or driver but it’s not like I can download one cause I have no internet connection. what it tells me when I troubleshoot is “Install a driver for your network adapter, windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver.” I hit next then it says

    :)

    Factory Reset

    Hi Cameron,

Since you did a factory reset on your computer, possibly the outdated network adapter driver causes the connection issue. Just for clarification, did you install the updated network drivers? If not, we suggest that you update the Network adapter driver.

    • Go to Device Manager, then click Network adapters and select the network adapter name.
    • Press and hold (or right-click) the network adapter, and then select
      Update Driver Software
      > Search automatically for updated driver software. Follow the steps, then select
      Close.
    • After installing the updated driver, restart the computer.

If Windows can’t find a new driver for your network adapter, visit the PC manufacturer’s website and download the latest network adapter driver from there.

If the issue persists, we recommend that you follow the troubleshooting steps provided on this link:

Feel free to send us your feedback at your convenience.

    Resetting Network Adapter

While I have read several suggestions for resetting the network adapter, they all involve rebooting the PC. I am wondering why the Windows Network and Internet troubleshooter doesn't reboot after resetting the adapter? Whatever it does appears (mostly) to solve my network connection issues and a solution that doean't involve rebooting would be an improvement.
