Windows 10: I feel like you cant escape copilot anywhere.

In Windows 11 or maybe 10, Microsoft Edge, and any other program that has copilot VERY FORCEFULLY Inegrated with Microsoft apps. I feel like I can't escape copilot, like they even made a WHOLE OS off of copilot! "COPILOT+PC!!!" In Microsoft Edge Copilot is in the context menu, sidebar, Bing Search, and the start page. Or in Windows 11 Copilot is in the taskbar, Search, Like. ITS SO ANNOYING!!! Can Microsoft chill out with copilot?? Like Microsoft is making Copilot a freaking god, ITS JUST AN AI! Please, For the love of god, make a switch to turn off COPILOT!! Gosh, Oh and don't get me starte

None of the methods to disable Copilot work, can't even hide it

The reg files do nothing. Copilot is not in the list of things you can turn on or off with the policy editor.

That's why Copilot is being integrated directly into OneNote. It works with you, embedded in the other Microsoft 365 apps you use daily to help you unlock productivity, unleash creativity, and uplevel your skills.

Group Policy Editor Link for W11 installation

Run as Administrator and allow to install

NB: MUST SELECT ENABLE first AS THIS ALLOWS APP TO TURN OFF THE PROGRAM

Open Local Group Policy Editor from the Windows search - type Gpedit.msc in the Run command and click icon

Navigate to the following folder in the Group Policy Editor window using the left panel:User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Copilot

On the right-side pane, double-click the 'Turn off Windows Copilot' policy.

Select 'Enabled' and click 'Apply' and then 'OK'. This allows the app to disable CoPilot

Click 'Disabled' then Apply to turn off CoPilot

To re-enable Windows Copilot, follow the same steps and select 'Not configured' or 'Disabled'. Then, click 'Apply' and 'OK'.

If the Copilot button is visible in the taskbar, it will disappear after you apply the policy. You do not need to restart your computer or enforce the Group Policies. The Copilot option will also disappear from the Settings app.
