Windows 10: I forgot my PIN - dialog disappears before code arrives to phone

Hi, I did set up a new laptop with Windows 11 Pro. PIN was set up, and I tested it works after writing to the paper.Now I tried to log in with PIN, but it is wrong. Then I tried to "I forgot my PIN" - function and typed my Microsoft password. After that, I receive the email option as the primary and alternative method is the phone. I tried both of them and received a code to email and phone. However, the dialog, where a code should be typed, disappears before I can type the code. Usually, a code doesn't even arrive before the dialog disappears. The dialog also disappears if I'm too slow to typ

Can't create pin for login. Pin stopped working

Try the steps here:

• Navigate to PC Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in options. Click on I forgot my PIN link.
• Next, click on the Continue button in the Are you sure you forgot your PIN? screen.
• You can now add a new PIN and click OK.

 

Can't login to Windows 10 with a PIN

Would you mind sharing the error message you received when you tried adding a PIN? There's a possibility that the old PIN is still saved on your PC. Try setting a new PIN using the I forgot my PIN option. Follow these steps:

• Go to Settings > Accounts.
• Click Sign-in options and select I forgot my PIN.
• Follow the instructions and enter your Microsoft account password. You should be able to set a new PIN code.

I forgot what build # it was but it was created before the offical relase of Windows 10 (When it was in development)
