Windows 10: "I forgot my pin" option in lock screen not working

I have a MSI Cyborg 15 a12udx laptop. Windows 11 23h2 installedMy sign-in option is pin. I have logged in with my Microsoft account, So I can't use a separate password for my user accountIn the lock screen when I press the "I forgot my pin" option, a loading circle appears for a few seconds but does nothing. The only way to log in to Windows is by using the correct PIN. I can use "I forgot my pin" in Settings > Accounts > sign-in options, when I am logged in. Or to change the pin.Fortunately, I remember my PIN. But I am afraid to change my PIN because if I forget it, I won't be abl

Forgot PIN, no other login options

I lost the PIN for a Windows laptop. When I hit "forgot my PIN" the screen said "just a moment" and had a spinning circle. It stayed that way for about 10 minutes, then there was a popup that said "you must download an app from the Store to complete this request". When I returned to the login screen, I tested a number of PINs that were incorrect, and now there is no "forgot my PIN" option. There was never an option to sign in with a password listed.

Try the steps here:

• Navigate to PC Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in options. Click on I forgot my PIN link.
• Next, click on the Continue button in the Are you sure you forgot your PIN? screen.
• You can now add a new PIN and click OK.

 

How can we not have the welcome/splash/lock screen prior to pin

OPTION 1 Disable Lock Screen using Group Policy (no longer applicable to W10 Pro) OPTION 2 Disable Lock Screen using a REG file (I had tried this before but forgot to list it) OPTION 3 Disable Lock Screen using a Task (did not work) OPTION 4 Disable Lock Screen using Security Policy Rule (not applicable since it says, "This option will not disable the lock screen at startup") W10 Tweaker. I am trying your link now. I will update you. (Addendum: I wonder if I explained my problem properly. When you boot into W10 or reboot a screen pops up. There is an image. You must hit Enter to remove that screen and then you get a window where you have to input your PIN. It is this initial Imaged Window, prior to the pin window which I am referring to.)
