Windows 10: "I forgot PIN" not working/disabled, help

Hello, recently I changed my PIN and unfortunately forgot it. I figured this was no big deal, but after a restart for the latest update, the "I forgot my PIN" option appears to not work. I press it, but it either sends me back to the screen with the time or does not do anything at all. I have restarted my PC a few times, but nothing seems to change. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't create pin for login. Pin stopped working

Try the steps here:

• Navigate to PC Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in options. Click on I forgot my PIN link.
• Next, click on the Continue button in the Are you sure you forgot your PIN? screen.
• You can now add a new PIN and click OK.

 

Disable Sign In PIN

You can also disable PIN using registry. Try these steps:

1. Open Registry Editor.
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System.
3. Set AllowDomainPINLogon to 0.
4. Close Registry Editor and reboot your system.

How to disable password and pin request?

Follow the below steps to remove PIN from your Windows login account.

1. Open the Settings, and click/tap on the Accounts icon.
2. Select Sign-in options, and click/tap on I forgot my PIN.
3. Click/tap on Continue.
4. Leave the PIN fields empty, and click/tap on Cancel.
5. Your PIN will now be removed.
