Windows 10: I found a way rename items in Quick Access foldersort of

I have been looking and looking for a way to rename the quicklinks in the navigation pane to no avail.... Finally this is the work around that is not optimal by any means, but much better than nothing I suppose. step 1 Create a folder either on your C drive or cloud based storage called shortcuts or quicklinks or nothing at all as it isn't the important folder. step 2 inside that newly created folder, create one that does describe what you want the quicklink to be called. i.e. "proj#1-fielddata"step 3inside the 'quicklink folder' you just created, place a shortcut to said actual folder. in t

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

Rename pinned items in Windows Explorer? (Quick Access)

Here was my solution: I created a folder called "My Shortcuts" in My Documents and pinned it to the Quick Access bar. For each folder I want added, I create a shortcut and move it to the "My Shortcuts" folder. The shortcut can be renamed at will. It's
an extra click but it serves the purpose.

This is incredibly annoying. Instead of using OneDrive to synch to SharePoint 2013, I had to go back to using Network Folders/WebDAV (not entirely a bad thing) but the problem is that all SharePoint document libraries are called "Docs." Without the ability
to rename Quick Access items, I just have a long list of "Docs." Don't do what I did and go to properties to rename it because that actually renames the Folder itself (versus the shortcut).

 

Arranging items in Quick Access

How can I organize Quick Access items in Windows Explorer? Running Windows 11 Build 22H2.
When I went to save a file, the pinned Quick Access items did not appear in the Save As dialogue box.
Found them in the new Home tab, but they seem to be organized by the chronological order of the date I "pinned" each folder to Quick Access --- the latest to be added appears at the bottom of the Quick Access list.
Is there any way to display them by alphabetical order instead?
Or is there any way I can manually placed my most frequently used Pinned item at the top of the list?
