Windows 10: I get a pop-up stating my Atal AV is turned off.

On start-up my computer, or from hibernate, I get a pop-up stating my Aotal AV is turned off and when I click the pop up, it is in facct turned off and that Microsoft Defender is turned on, when in fact I don't have the subscription enabled that gives me Defender. Why is it that way?*** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Pop ups can be distracting for some, and depending on your reference, you can disable the desktop pop ups by following these steps:

• Click Start or the Windows logo and go to Settings (gear icon).
• Go to System and choose Notification & actions.
• Under Notifications, turn off Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows or whatever you want to turn off.
• Close the window and it will automatically save the changes.

Can't turn on Windows Defender, message that another AV program is running

I only have windows defender on my computer. It still says that another AV program is running and I cannot turn on window defender's AV.

Any suggestions??
