Windows 10: I get an error message when I open the Task Manager, Videos Don't open in Movies&TV only...

Things are taking forever to open or load, as well. For example, when I browse to a file location to open it, say trying to upload a video, the process times out.

So I want to simply roll back my windows update to the previous versionwhen things were working which was just last night. However, when I go to uninstall the windows update, I get this error an error:




It took forever just to save this screenshot and then open the desktop to even upload it, btw.


PLEASE SAVE ME! ; Thank you for your help! Like I said EVERYTHING was working fine BEFORE I updated windows. Can I go back, just one version? Also, I tried a Clean boot of the system and disabled all 3rd party apps on startup and it did NOTHING.

Movies and TV Videos won't play on PC

As the title suggests, I can open the Movie I wish to watch, the video loads, and then..... nothing. No errors, no nothing. It's a tad frustrating considering this is a windows 10 machine and Movies and TV is a windows native app...

How do I fix this?

 

Movies & TV App Opens then shutsdown

Hi Jeff,

I have experienced the same issue just yesterday. And now it is "resolved".

1st, a possible "solution":

• Try and play a trailer from the Store app. This will trigger Movies & TV app, and hopefully the application will stay up/not crash when the trailer start playing. If all goes well, then try using the app normally.
• Restart the app, and if you have any "download" error, don't restart it, just x-click it away.

How it occurred:

• I purchased a movie, and for the first time, I clicked on the Download button instead of just streaming it. The app shut down after a short while.

Errors:

• When starting the Movies & TV app it will shut-down after some few seconds, regardless if it's triggered from the Movie Store or if it's started directly. Leaving no time to go into settings etc.

Troubleshooting:

• I tried all the solutions mentioned and referred to in this discussion.

Assessment:

• I think the crash/sudden shut-down of the app occurs because something went wrong during caching or downloading a movie.
• As such, the "solution" I've described above may also be irrelevant; it maybe that the download I started has timed-out and thus resolved the problem by itself. Or that emptying the temp folders (also mentioned in this discussion) may have forced the download
  to reset/stop.

Annoying glitch, but still love how now can easily rent/purchase movies on MS platform.

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
• Click File > Run New Task
• Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• Type Powershell
• Type the following in the Powershell prompt:
  
  $manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest
  
• Close the Powershell window
  
  Then Reboot.
