I get BSOD caused by DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

Hello, last week my laptop started getting BSOD when playing videogames that uses the dedicated graphics card RTX 3050 ti Laptop GPU. It happens random, could me instantly or in a couple of minutes. When it happens everything freezes, the audio gets distored repeating the same noise, if I try to turn off the PC the BSOD instantly appears with the error code: DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. I ran the BlueScreenViewer and seems to be caused by something named ntoskrnl.exe/ntoskrnl.exe+3fd6f0. I tried doing a clean install of the operating system formating the storage drive, reinstalling the nvidia dri

BSOD Reoccurring - DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION with Bugcheck Reboot

    Hi Jaron,

Blue screen or black screen errors occur when the system encountered a problem that caused the system to shut down unexpectedly. We were unable to view the dump file due to some restrictions, so we'd like to know if there are any error codes aside from the
    DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error.

In the meantime, follow the steps provided in this article to help troubleshoot blue screen errors.

    Looking forward to your response.

BSOD watching Youtube & VLC (DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION)

    Hi,

Since a couple of weeks ago the problem started. At the beginning it only appears from time to time, but since yesterday the problem persists and it is impossible to use VLC or to watch a video on Youtube.

I always get the same BSOD with DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. I already look for info in this very same forum, but I tried a couple of things that doesn't fix the problem:
    • I tried Driver Easy to make sure that I have all the drivers updated.
    • I tried to use an old version for the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller.
    • I set the default driver for the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.

    Some info about my laptop:
    • Asus R510V
    • i7 6700HQ
    • 8GB RAM
    • 120GB SSD (Windows here)
    • 1TB HDD
    • Using AVG Internet Security.

Also, I attach the log files.

I hope you guys can tell me how to fix this problem.

    Thanks and regards!

    Hi Dan,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community

This problem can occur when any of these issues persists:

    • Defective or buggy hardware or video drivers

    • Defective memory, memory incorrectly installed or mismatched memory sticks

    • Stopped or slow fans causing overheating

    • Defective Processor (CPU)

I suggest you to upgrade all the latest drivers from the manufacturer website. Refer the below link.

      http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads

Also update all the Windows updates and check if it helps. Follow the steps

    • Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, then tap
      Search.

If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, then click
      Search.

    • Enter Windows Update in the search box, tap or click
Settings, and then tap or click Install optional updates.

    Hope it helps
