Dear Microsoft Support Team,I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek your assistance regarding an issue I am facing with my Microsoft account.I have been unable to log in to my account and have been receiving an error message that says, "something went wrong, please try again later." I have tried multiple times to access my account, and I am certain that my password is correct. However, I am still unable to log in. Sometimes logging in with wrong password gives me an option to recover my password via unknown email .....@rambler.ru. My all emails end with @gmail.com and I have

Games for Windows Live failing to login error code 80048821

Need some help as pulling my hair out with this *Mad .

I have had my GFWL account for quite a while, not a regular user.

A day or so ago when I went to have a play on GTA IV it would not login to the account. All I get is a nonsense message.

I can login to Xbox live (I don't own one) and Windows Live via browser in OS. I then uninstalled GFWL via control panel in windows 7, I then reinstalled it and still get the issue.

Then I started routing around in AppData\Local\Microsoft\GFWLive\ and found a file (GFWLClient01.log), latest error (all are the same in log from past attempts) it has this in it:-

I tried using the support chat feature on XBox live site and I can't chat to staff as my name is not filtering through from Windows live account (no way to set on support chat page or XBox live site).

Why Halo guys, old friends and potential new. Been off the PC for a very long time.

This is what I did:

I was annoyed that I had used a separate login for Xbox and Win 10.
(More annoyed that I couldn't change my master xbox email account, can't add my Win 10 account as an alias because it exists already)

I discovered here, that I could change my default Win 10 login Account by changing to local, then back to Microsoft account using a new address (My Xbox Alias)

Now I can get into Win 10 no prob, hallelujah there is my Xbox account woohoo. BUT

1. Windows store is still using my old Win 10 email login & (Sorted thx to Brink Tute)
2. I cannot add my new Win 10 (Xbox email, now new Win 10 login) to MAIL. Just wont do it stating Error 0x8000ffff

So from where I see it, I have two Win 10 Accounts associated with my Win 10.

OId Win 10 Outlook Login address & My new Outlook Login address (Xbox)
I don't want the old one, I am old already *Tongue

It will be easy I said, just do it I said *Mad

What have I done and can I fix it? Is it a matter of waiting for MS to catch up and sync?

I removed the email and calendar apps and reinstalled

What I am too scared to try:
Remove my PC (Device) listed on the old (original) email account online
