    I get "press a key to skip disk checking" then all my icons turn black.


    HI, I bought a 3tb hard drive and after that all my game icons and program icons are black, im not sure if i have a corrupted icon cache but ive followed steps to reset it with no avail. Ive also tried to reinstall new instances of games/ programs. It seems to be only shortcuts that are effected but then again some shortcuts are effected whereas some arent. Im so confused....     To skip disk checking, press any key in # seconds

    It took about 2 hours and it didnt find any problems.

    It no longer shows

    "To skip disk checking, press any key in # seconds"

    on startup anymore.

    im still getting dirty with

    fsutil dirty query c:

    Windows 10 skips disk checking on startup


    So when my computer starts up it says "Disk checking to skip press any key within 8 seconds" and then it turns black for a second then says it again. Then it goes to the lock screen. How do I make it so that it doesn't skip the disk checking?

    I'm having the Disk Check issue again. However, this time, I can't use Startup Repair to fix it. Can you address this?
